Once known for its cool climes, Himachal Pradesh is witnessing the ill effects of global warming as, in the last four decades, the average maximum temperature has increased by 5.2 degrees Celsius in the state. While the average rainfall has remained static, the cycle of rain and snow has changed marginally.
